Comcast CA teams up with Bay Area Latino journalists to welcome ‘Excellence in Journalism’ conference attendees to California

ANAHEIM, CA – September 7, at The Fifth: Just across the street from the most magical place in the world, we held an event to celebrate and network with some of our fellow journalists. Taking a break from the ‘Excellence in Journalism’ Conference, Comcast teamed up with the National Association of Hispanic Journalists or NAHJ Bay Area Chapter for casual drinks, organic conversations and a pretty sweet view of all the action in Disneyland.

Situated fittingly close to Disney Way, attendees arrived at the seemingly plain exterior of the Grand Legacy at the Park before heading upstairs to the real party. After leaving the elevator, guests were welcomed by a spectacular view of ‘Mickey’s Fun Wheel’ just next to the Indiana Joan’s fire machines. Before long, Disney’s nightly fireworks show began.

We used the opportunity to spread awareness about our Internet Essentials Program, which aims to bridge a crucially significant gap in equality, the digital divide. Highlighting the contribution the Internet Essentials Program has brought to the Hispanic community with over half the program identifying as Hispanic or Latino. As of today, more than 4 million Americans use the Internet Essentials Program. But we still have 25 percent of America without broadband access.
