The Comeback You’ve Been Waiting For: Comcast & AAJA Present Hella Asian 2022

Comcast is proud to announce the return of Hella Asian, an annual fundraising event held by the Bay Area chapter of the Asian American Journalists Association, with this year’s theme being “The Comeback”.

Hella Asian spotlights Asian American and Pacific Islander voices within the entertainment and media industry, celebrating stories of resilience and revolution from individuals within our community who have advocated to advance diversity within the newsroom.

The best part? All proceeds from the event will support AAJA-SF’s annual scholarships, which subsidize expenses for Bay Area students pursuing journalism, as well as grants, workshops, and other community programming that support working Bay Area journalists. Committed to amplifying AAPI voices, Comcast has supported this event since its first debut in 2018 and is excited to continue its sponsorship again this year.

Hella Asian will be an unforgettable evening filled with live storytelling and performances from local AAPI community leaders and creatives, who are ready to celebrate their industry accomplishments and irrepressible strides against the recently increasing anti-Asian racism. Get ready to hear from a diverse line-up of Bay Area storytellers:
