A Season of Giving: How Comcast California Supports Local Families

‘Tis the Season of Giving! On this Giving Tuesday, we are proud to recognize the global day dedicated to generosity and doing good. Here at Comcast California, we believe investing in the communities we serve is not only a part of our mission, it also reflects our team’s passion for making a difference with our community partners across Northern California and the Central Valley. This season is the perfect time to celebrate these partnerships and how we make an impact that lasts well beyond today.

Holiday Meals for 400 Rural Families

Comcast partnered with the Merced County Food Bank and Gustine Rotary on November 18, 2025, to host a holiday food distribution in the rural community of Gustine. Over 400 local families attended the distribution at Harry P Schmidt Park to get a turkey and all the fixings for a meal with loved ones. Comcast has contributed over $25,000 in 2025 alone to the Merced County Food Bank, supporting their critical role in providing access to nutritious food for residents in Merced and Mariposa Counties. In addition, Comcast donated $5,000 to the Gustine Rotary to support their extraordinary work in the community.

Helping Families Thrive in Yolo County

As food insecurity rises across Yolo County, the Yolo Food Bank works to meet the food and nutrition needs of individuals and families in the area. From free food distributions across 19 locations to the Family Food Box program for families of students, Yolo Food Bank serves over 30,000 households every month and distributes 9.6 million pounds of food annually. Recently Comcast made a $5,000 donation to Yolo Food Bank to support its vital work to reduce hunger and ensure access to food for thousands of families.
