In preparation for a series of retail store events with Latino California-based band, Las Cafeteras, the Xfinity team turned in their laptops and notepads for cameras, sound equipment and a minivan filled with more than you can imagine. Over the course of two days, Las Cafeteras and the Xfinity team hit the road with visits to North Fresno, Oakland, and San Jose, to promote the recently launched Xfinity Mobile service.
Each event showcased an acoustic performance by the band, followed by a meet and greet with attendees. During the course of these events, we met and spoke with hundreds of Las Cafeteras fans and Xfinity customers, coming from across California to see a beloved band that represents their culture, values, and commitment to loving and uplifting their communities. To honor the experience and the timing, the concerts were themed around Dia de los Muertos with sugar skull face painting, a custom snapchat filter and in-store decorations. Attendees also engaged in social media contests and raffles, getting everyone in the spirit. But don’t take it from us, take a look at our video recap and photo galleries below!
