Last weekend was an exciting one for families and furry friends at Tesoro Viejo. The award-winning, master-planned community, nestled in Madera County and just a few minutes north of Fresno, celebrated the grand opening of their new dog park, Rosie’s Place. Families brought their pups to experience the new off-leash dog park with gated areas for large and small dogs, water features, and plenty of toys.
Following the opening of Rosie’s Place, guests made a short walk to the amphitheater to attend a doggie fashion show benefiting the St. Francis Homeless Project. The local non-profit organization provides women in recovery with the opportunity to create positive changes in their lives through a training program where they are responsible for producing and distributing all-natural dog treats.
As part of Comcast’s ongoing commitment to communities in the Central Valley, Nathan Ahle, Director of Government Affairs, had the honor of presenting St. Francis Homeless Project with a $10,000 donation to support the incredible work they do to empower women with housing and hands-on learning opportunities.
Between the dog park, fashion show, and red-carpet photos at the Xfinity booth, many families and four-legged residents had a wonderful time creating joyful memories at Tesoro Viejo.
