Comcast Business Deepens Fiber Investment In Sanger

New High Performance Network at Kings River Tech Park Supports Economic Development, Makes Businesses More Competitive and Creates Jobs

Last week, Comcast Business announced that it has completed a $300,000 fiber optic network expansion project in Sanger, California a city of about 24,000 in Fresno County. Known as the nation’s Christmas tree city, Sanger is at the heart of one of the richest and most diversified agricultural regions in the world. With this new infrastructure, the improvements will attract more high-tech manufacturing jobs into the area. Comcast’s high-performance network now is delivering up to 10 Gigabits-per-second (Gbps) of Ethernet capacity to businesses located at Kings River Tech Park, providing companies with a competitive edge and the ability to attract new employees, while supporting economic development in the area.

For businesses to get off the ground and succeed, a robust network is paramount. Along with the investment from Comcast Business, the City of Sanger contributed an additional $90,000 to build out three miles of new fiber optic cable to support the needs of its local businesses. This range of network-based services provides organizations with the tools to prosper in today’s global economic landscape.
