On Thursday, June 23, Latina business owners, mentors, and community leaders gathered for the 23rd Annual Central California Hispanic Chamber of Commerce’s Latina Women’s Conference in Fresno. The sold-out event featured a trade fair, speaker panel, lunch, and networking session to bring the Latina business community together.
This conference, which had over 200 attendees, was a celebration of the hard work and accomplishments that local Latina business owners had achieved throughout their careers. Being pillars of both their families and communities is no easy feat, and Comcast applauds these women and is proud to have been a sponsor of the event.
This year’s theme was “Innovate to Elevate: From Why to Why Not”, an exploration of finding one’s purpose within their business and using that “why” as a motivation to take their business to the next level. Keynote speaker, Veronica Corona, spoke on her personal experiences as an entrepreneur, expanding upon the process of overcoming burnout and how to continue being inspired by one’s self-purpose.
At the conference’s trade fair, Comcast held a complimentary professional headshot booth courtesy of Comcast RISE, where over 70 attendees were able to get their photos taken by a professional photographer and CCHCC Board Member Hector Cavasos.
The event ended with an awards ceremony to spotlight community leaders and recognize them for their contributions. Throughout the day, attendees connected and uplifted one another, which truly made this event a success due to the supportive environment and relationships it cultivated.
