Recently, Comcast teammates in the Central Valley gathered for Merced’s Community Cleanup Day. Rain or shine, the community came together to support the cleanup event at Applegate Park in the heart of the Bear Creek district.
As part of Comcast’s ongoing commitment to the Valley, a group of volunteers, including Merced Mayor Matthew Serratto, removed eight tons of trash and debris from the park and surrounding areas. “It’s great to see the unity and commitment of friends and neighbors as we come together for our community cleanups,“ said Mayor Matthew Serratto. “Together, we are cultivating a sense of pride, fostering connections, and building a legacy of environmental stewardship. We especially appreciate the Comcast team’s involvement and lunch sponsorship to feed our hungry workers. Our community will continue working side by side to keep our parks and open spaces welcoming spaces for all to enjoy.”
Comcast is proud to partner with the City of Merced on this cleanup initiative to beautify the area and provide inclusive spaces for the community.
