Comcast Contributes $30k to New Sacramento Fund that Helps Families, the Homeless, Non-Profits and Small Businesses

Sacramento Mayor Darrell Steinberg, Councilman Jay Schenirer and other community leaders announced the creation of a new fundraising effort to help Sacramentans during the pandemic.

Comcast was among the first partners to support the launch of the Donate4Sacramento COVID-19 Regional Response Fund, which will aid community-based organizations that are vital to County residents, especially during these difficult times.  Comcast contributed $30,000 to the new Fund.

During a Facebook Live press conference, Mayor Steinberg said that Donate4Sacramento will continue to raise funds to help “small businesses, non-profits, working people, to help with food distribution, to help with education, to help with anything and everything that our community is going to need.”

Comcast has a decades-long commitment to the City of Sacramento and the surrounding communities. Last year Comcast supported Mayor Steinberg’s Teen Tech Hubs and the Youth Pop-up initiatives, and also donated close to 300 computers to low-income youth and Seniors.
