On a mid-August Saturday morning, close to 60 participants mostly women, gathered at the Bayview Opera House in San Francisco for the first ever ElevateHER workshop presented by the Coalition of 100 Black Women San Francisco Chapter.
The goals of the workshop were to educate, elevate and empower small black-owned businesses as well as to provide them with additional resources.
Attendees to the workshop had the opportunity to hear from experts on topics such as the unique obstacles applicants face when seeking small business financing and the difference between a loan and a line of credit.
The Coalition of 100 Black Women’s economic programs focuses on financial literacy, family wealth building, and entrepreneurship.
