Comcast’s Partnership with Frameline Empowers Voices and Celebrates Diversity

48th annual Frameline Film Festival in San Francisco, June 2024

At Comcast, we believe in the power of sharing the stories of our communities to connect and inspire. Our partnership with Frameline, the world’s longest-running LGBTQ+ film festival, is a testament to our commitment to support diverse voices and foster inclusivity.

Frameline has been a beacon for LGBTQ+ filmmakers and audiences for over four decades. Founded in 1977, the San Francisco International LGBTQ+ Film Festival is the largest and most widely recognized queer film exhibition in the world. This year marks the 48th edition of the film festival, which ran from June 19-29, 2024 with its signature showcase of the world’s leading queer cinema.

Comcast is proud to partner with the long-standing film festival to amplify unique stories and provide a platform for underrepresented voices in the film industry. Our support helps ensure that these important narratives reach a broader audience, fostering understanding and patience.

Our Commitment

This year’s festival theme, “Intersections,” resonated deeply with our values at Comcast. We understand that diversity encompasses various identities and experiences, and we are dedicated to promoting a culture of inclusion both within our company and in the communities we serve. Our partnership with Frameline reflected this dedication, as we strove to create spaces where everyone felt seen and heard.

Celebrating Juneteenth

One of the standout moments of our involvement this year was supporting Frameline’s first-ever Juneteenth block party celebration. This event not only honored the significance of Juneteenth but also highlighted the intersections of race and LGBTQ+ identity, reflecting our shared commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Looking Back

As we reflect on this year’s festival, which concluded just a month ago, we are excited about the future of our partnership with Frameline. We look forward to continuing our support and working together to create a more inclusive and equitable world through the power of film.

Here at Comcast, showing up for Frameline meant more than just financial support. It was about being an active participant in the movement for equality and representation. We were honored to stand with Frameline and the LGBTQ+ community, and we remain committed to championing diversity in all its forms. We are eager to continue this important partnership and collaborate on future initiatives.

By partnering with Frameline, we not only supported a prestigious film festival but also reaffirmed our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Together, we can create a world where every story matters.
