Tracye Mingo, Regional VP of Technical Operations, Recognized at 16th Annual Powerful Women of the Bay Awards

On Thursday, March 20th, members of the Bay Area community celebrated inspiring women that are uplifting the community. Created by Cathy D. Adams, President and CEO of the Oakland African American Chamber of Commerce and former Icons Among Us honoree, the 16th Annual Powerful Women of the Bay Awards recognizes the incredible impact of women in honor of Women’s History Month. The powerful gathering included a women’s business showcase, luncheon, awards ceremony, and a keynote address by Congresswoman Lateefah Simon of California’s 12th Congressional District.
Nine women were honored during the awards ceremony that exemplify strength and dedication. Tracye Mingo, Regional Vice President of Technical Operations for Comcast California, was an honoree recognized for her trailblazing career and leadership in the technology industry.

“I am truly humbled and honored to be recognized as a Powerful Woman of the Bay. It was amazing to be included with so many talented and courageous women,” said Mingo. ” I was so very inspired by all of the recipients this year! They truly represented what can be accomplished with hard work, tenacity, and creativity.”
Mingo has a message for all professional women: “When that voice in your head creeps in and starts to whisper to you “maybe you can’t” or “maybe you shouldn’t.” Take that as a signal to lean into your goals and dreams even more. I have found that when I was the most unsure was when opportunity and success were right around the corner.”
Comcast is proud to be the presenting sponsor of the Powerful Women of the Bay Area Awards. Congratulations to this year’s honorees for their leadership and commitment to their craft and communities!
