Growing Together: Comcast Teams UP with Three Sisters Gardens in West Sacramento

As Comcast’s Xfinity network continues to expand into West Sacramento, our California employees connected with the local community in a meaningful and lasting way. Our team spent the day volunteering at Three Sister Gardens, a nonprofit dedicated to urban agriculture and building a sustainable, community-driven food system.
The effort was part of Team UP, Comcast’s always-on volunteerism and employee engagement program. Team UP is all about coming together to make a difference and this day of service was a powerful reflection of that mission.

“By getting our hands dirty in the garden, we not only supported an environmentally friendly cause but also showed that Xfinity is here, present, and ready to serve West Sacramento with fast, reliable service”, said Heather Druba, Enterprise Account Manager at Comcast Business. “It was a rewarding experience that deepened our connection to the community and the environment.”
From planting crops to harvesting, our team worked side by side with the local organizers to support food equity and sustainability. These efforts align with Project UP, Comcast’s initiative to advance digital opportunities for all.
Over the past year, Team UP has mobilized thousands of employees to volunteer their time and talents, support humanitarian causes, and even train to become nonprofit board members. This day at Three Sisters Gardens was one of many moments that reflect our shared commitment to creating long-lasting change, together.
