San Francisco was alive with excitement on February 24th as the Chinese New Year Parade made its way through Chinatown to welcome the Year of the Dragon.
Named one of the top ten parades in the world by the International Festivals & Events Association, the San Francisco Chinese New Year Parade is the biggest parade to celebrate Lunar New Year outside of Asia. This year’s parade saw thousands line the streets and gather in awe as larger-than-life floats, lion dancers, marching bands, and performers made their way across 1.3 miles in the city.
Comcast is honored to support and participate in the Chinese New Year Parade, joining in the cultural celebration and rejoicing Asian communities in the Bay Area and beyond. As San Francisco’s Lunar New Year celebrations come to a close, we are revisiting this year’s Chinese New Year Parade through photos from the cultural celebration that unites us in community and hope for what’s next in the Year of the Dragon.
