Backpacks and Broadband: Comcast Empowers California Students and Families to Kick Off the New School Year

Comcast California employees volunteer at back to school events to support local students and families with new backpacks, school supplies, and resources.

Back-to-school season is in full effect across California. As families gear up with new clothes, supplies, and routines, community organizations and partners like Comcast provide welcoming spaces where students can access tools to succeed in and out of the classroom. These spaces not only ease financial stress for families but also empower students to start the school year with motivation.

Comcast California is proud to help families get connected as they prepare for the 2025-2026 school year. Employees will volunteer at several back-to-school events within our local communities during July and August. From preparing hundreds of backpacks to sharing information about Internet Essentials—which offers high-speed Internet access at home for less than $15 a month to eligible households—our team is proud to support young learners by helping to provide free backpacks, school supplies, and access to resources at these incredible events.
