April is Global Volunteer Month, a time to celebrate the impact of volunteering and inspire acts of service around the world. All year long, Comcast is dedicated to making a positive impact in the communities where our teams and customers live, work, and play through Team UP, our always-on volunteerism and employee engagement program.
Beginning with Global Volunteer Month and extending throughout May, Comcast’s Spring Service initiative encourages employees to Team UP and volunteer across our footprint. Recently the Comcast California External Affairs team volunteered at the Aerospace Museum of California for an Aircraft Wash Day. Rain or shine, the External Affairs team rolled up their sleeves to wash the outside of aircrafts in the 4-acre outdoor Air Park.
Located near Sacramento, the Aerospace Museum of California honors the history of aviation and aerospace with over forty historic aircrafts and rockets and interactive STEM exhibits. Our team’s Spring Service helped the museum prepare for a community event to raise funds to send underserved youth to STEM camp, with 87% receiving full scholarships last summer.
