Comcast’s Internet Essentials program continues to connect low-income Americans to high-speed Internet access at home. The program offers eligible families broadband access for $9.95 a month with the option of purchasing a computer for less than $150 and free digital literacy education on print, online and in-person training. Since the start of the program in 2011, Internet Essentials has connected more than four million low-income Americans, one million households. And California leads the nation in connect numbers by connecting more than 150,000 low-income households benefitting more than 600,000 Californians.
