On Saturday, December 14, Comcast employees teamed up with the military community to honor Wreaths Across America, a national tribute to fallen veterans and their families. This marks Comcast’s ninth consecutive year participating in the annual day of remembrance. Led by the Veterans Network (VetNet) Employee Resource Group, the wreath-laying ceremony connected volunteers across the country to remember our nation’s heroes. Here in California, our team members came together to lay wreaths on the graves of veterans at three locations:
- Golden Gate National Cemetery in San Bruno
- Sacramento County Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Sacramento
- San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella
Wreaths Across America touches the lives of many in the military community. Jake Viducich, an Army Veteran, VetNet Co-lead, and Director of Network Maintenance at Comcast California, comes from a long line of veterans that served in the U.S. Navy, Merchant Marines, and Airforce. Jake has a deep connection to the wreath-laying ceremony, participating annually to help remember those who served and stood watch before him. “The ceremony symbolizes our gratitude for the service and sacrifice veterans have made. It ensures their legacy is never forgotten,” says Viducich.
Comcast is dedicated to supporting the military community through annual events like Wreaths Across America, employee programs, and unique opportunities for military customers to help make an impact in the lives of veterans and their families. To learn more, visit our Military Engagement page.
