Comcast Celebrates the Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Today and every day we honor the profound legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Here at Comcast, we are deeply committed to uplifting our communities through service, a commitment our employees build on each day by giving back to the communities where we live and work.
To honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Comcast is proud to sponsor the African American Community Service Agency’s (AACSA) 45th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Luncheon on Monday, January 20, 2025, at San Jose State University. This year’s theme, “Generations United for the Dream,” celebrates Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s impact across generations. The event will feature host Marcus Washington, NBC Bay Area News Anchor; a keynote by Rev. Shavon Arline-Bradley, MPH, MDIV, President and CEO of the National Council of Negro Women; and a panel discussion exploring Dr. King’s legacy and diversity, impact, and inclusion.
AACSA will also recognize individuals at the luncheon with special awards. Lennies Guiterrez, Director of Government Affairs for Comcast California, will receive the Facing the Challenge award. This award recognizes an advocate for the development of organizations that provides services that improve our community.
Comcast is proud to be a longtime partner and supporter of AACSA and community organizations throughout California that uphold the principles inspired by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
