This Black History Month, Xfinity proudly presents the “Black Heritage: Building On Our Legacy” collection, showcasing the enduring impact and achievements of Black communities. With stories of resilience, innovation, and culture, this curation of free programming is available on Black Experience on Xfinity, as well as Xumo Play.

Black Experience on Xfinity brings an unmatched curated collection of Black film and TV titles. It includes one of the largest curated Black independent film collections On Demand, plus new and classic TV shows, exclusive originals, and blockbuster movies, in addition to a variety of original documentaries including the films Color, Our Blues Make Us Gold, Wade in the Water, and Black Girls. It is the only channel of its kind endorsed by the African American Film Critics Association, the world’s largest group of Black film critics. Black Experience is available across Xfinity’s entertainment devices including X1, Flex and Xumo Stream Box, as well as Xumo Play, a free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) app available on major streaming platforms.

Xfinity is celebrating Black excellence with a dynamic lineup of guest editors curating special programming all month long that honors the past, celebrates the present, and looks toward the future.

Special guest editors and partners include Brian Tyree Henry, star of the award-winning film The Fire Inside; Lonnie Ali, founder of the Muhammad Ali Center and producer of Amazon Prime Video series, The Greatest; Jabari Banks, star of Bel-Air on Peacock; Ryan Destiny, star of The Fire Inside; Grant Hill, NBA Hall of Fame All-Star, and Executive Producer of Bad River; Paul Tazewall, Oscar-nominee and costume designer of award-winning film, Wicked.

The Xfinity collection also features top picks from the African American Film Critics Association. Highlights include Remember the Titans on Disney+, award winning documentary Summer of Soul on Hulu, The Legacy of Black Wall Street on Max, and King Richard available on Max.

Free Black Entertainment from Popular Networks and Subscription Video on Demand

Through our “Free this Week” initiative, Comcast will offer customers week-long access to a selection of premium Black networks and streaming services easily accessible within the Black Experience on Xfinity destination. Content availability may vary across platforms.
