To determine the 2021 Best Workplaces in the Bay Area list, Fortune analyzed confidential survey feedback from more than 44,000 Bay Area employees. Based on survey responses from Comcast’s employees, the workplace culture was rated among the best in the Bay.
We received this honor, in large part, because of how employees feel about the job we are doing as a company in key aspects, including the extent to which we create a Great Place to Work For All™. Eighty-five percent of the evaluation is based on what employees said about their experience of trust and reaching their full human potential as part of Comcast, no matter who they are or what they do.
At Comcast, we believe in investing in our teammates. All our employees have individual development plans (IDPs), that help them maintain focus on their growth and development. We embrace diversity of background, perspective, culture, and experience throughout every aspect of our business.
We continue to build understanding within our teams and company about Diversity, Equality and Inclusion and we are honored to be recognized for this in the Bay Area! We always look through a lens of diversity and that could be diversity in background, ethnicity, gender, experience— but we really appreciate and seek out people who are not alike, because that’s how Comcast achieves its full potential.
Here at Comcast, we also encourage our employees to join an Employee Resource Group (ERG). There are eight ERGs that reflect the communities we serve and each of our employees is an important part of that. Our ERGs are helping employees on personal and professional development, product development and support, and volunteer support for our local communities. Great Place to Work analyzes these experiences relative to each organization’s size, workforce make up, and what’s typical in our industry and in the Bay Area.
